About
Aureliano is ABL’s Energy Technical Director with 22+ years of multidisciplinary experience and a successful track record in delivering loss prevention service for the marine and offshore energy industry. His overall responsibilities include the delivery of loss prevention services, marine engineering consultancy for complex and multi-billion-dollar offshore assets. I.e., design, fabrication, transportation, and installation of new FPSO as well as large VLCC ship conversions into FPSO, offshore energy development projects, and offshore decommissioning projects. He also manages ABL Certifying and Verification Authority (CVA) and Third Party Inspection (TPI) services.
Before ABL, Aureliano has worked for Lloyd’s Register (LR) in Italy as Ship Classification Surveyor providing periodical and occasional ship surveys service. He has worked also as Classification Ship Surveyor for new ship constructions and ship repairs at various shipyards around Italy. He has then moved at LR headquarter in London, providing ship plan approval and ship emergency response services.
Before LR, he has worked as engineer manager for an Italian Ro-Ro Pax ship owner where he was involved with the maintenance Ro-Ro pax of the Company’s fleet and in the design and surveillance of new Ro-Ro Pax ship for the company. Over those years of working experience, he has gained an in-depth knowledge of projects technical risks, as such he does assess FPSO and O&G project HAZID, HAZOP and HIRA by providing mitigations and actions on how to reduce and control such risks as low as reasonable possible.
