Anne is Master Mariner with more than 30 years experience in the marine industry. This experience includes offshore service onboard various vessel types including tankers, hydrographic survey, logistic support vessels, Antarctic and fisheries research, diamond mining, general cargo, passenger vessels, as well as shoreside service as vessel operations manager, coordination support to offshore windfarm construction, vessel coordination to vessels of opportunity engaged in the West African offshore sector and marine surveying.

As Country Manager, Anne is responsible for managing a team of highly skilled surveyors servicing the broader African region across a multitude of service disciplines while continuing to conduct surveys and support her team in her capacity as Chief Surveyor.

Karl is a Chief Engineer with over 30 years experience in the offshore sector, serving onboard cargo vessels and the latter 12 years in the capacity as Chief Engineer on offshore support vessels to the Oil and Gas sector.

Karl specialises in marine casualty attendance, as well as marine warranty (with focus on under own power relocation voyages), condition and pre-purchase surveys.

Patrick is a Chief Engineer with more than 35 years experience in the marine and offshore industries, including seagoing service, upkeep and new vessel commissioning; commercial diving equipment manufacture, testing and inspection; commercial ship building, testing and repairs; and offshore vessel inspections and surveys.

Patrick is an accredited IMCA DP Trials and Assurance Practitioner and has compiled and witnessed more than 100 DP trials and authored several DP FMEA study reports. Patrick has conducted OVID audits, vessel suitability surveys and condition surveys.

Marius Venter

Marius is a Master Mariner with more than 36 years of combined experience in the marine and offshore industry, including seagoing, operational and training and development. He served 18 years as Master on Anchor Handlers, Subsea Light Installation / construction / ROV and supply vessels engaged in towing and subsea maintenance.

Marius is an accredited OCIMF OVID inspector for offshore vessels as well as DP Trials and Assurance Practitioner. Marius has extensive experience in offshore operations, focussing on MWS projects and vessel suitability assessments.

Michael Riddell

Michael Riddell is a Master Mariner and Salvage Master with extensive knowledge of and experience in the global Marine environment. This includes Emergency Response and Wreck Removal projects, both operationally and with the various associated services within the Salvage Industry. He was appointed to the Lloyds SCR Panel in March 2019.

He started his maritime career with Safmarine in South Africa, sailing on cargo, container vessels and bulk carriers. He continued his sea career onboard the ocean-going salvage tugs WOLRAAD WOLTEMADE and JOHN ROSS, thereafter carrying out several vessel deliveries for SMIT.

He joined SVITZER Salvage on the opening of their office in Cape Town in 2005, promoted to Salvage Master in 2011, and continued with the Company until their restructuring in 2017. He returned to Ardent (Svitzer/Titan Salvage merger) shortly afterwards under contract until Q1 of 2018. He joined London Offshore Consultants (LOC) Singapore as a Master Mariner/Marine Consultant a short while later and thereafter. Brookes Bell in January 2020.

While in Singapore he was involved in numerous projects, including vessel Suitability and Condition Surveys, Towage Approvals, container ship fire inspections and consulting for and attending Salvage Operations on behalf of Insurers, as well as Governments and Maritime Authorities.

Lee Smith (BSc Eng, MSc Eng) has worked in the renewables industry for over 12 years, mostly in consulting roles, including Lender’s Technical Advisory (LTA) and Owner’s Engineering (OE) mostly focused on solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has also worked in technical asset management as well as Commercial and Industrial (C&I) scale Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). Globally, Lee has worked on over 5 GW of renewables projects.
