Ahmad Makhzan

Graduate from the University Malaysia Pahang in Mechanical Engineering. Following graduation, Makhzan joined GL Noble Denton as a Graduate Engineer/Marine Warranty Surveyor, mainly on Vessel Inspection and Onshore Loadout and Offshore Installation. Moving to Global Maritime Consultancy, he spent six years as the Senior Marine Warranty Surveyor, gaining experience in OVID Inspection, Vessel Marine Warranty Survey, Onshore Loadout, Offshore Installation, Rig Towing Approval and Technical Document Review. Joining London Offshore Consultants (LOC) in 2019.

Able to demonstrate technical expertise as marine warranty Surveyor for both technical reviews and on-site attendance for onshore and offshore aspects of the role. He has served as a site surveyor for many high-profile projects, providing Marine Warranty Services and Marine Consultancy on major oil and gas projects. He has gained extensive experience covering FPSO/FSO conversion and construction, float-on/off, heavy lift, roll-on/off (using SPMTs), skidding (using Strand Jacks), pipe/cable haul, offshore structure installation projects and offshore rigid and flexible flowline installations covering shallow and deep-water.

As a marine surveyor, he is familiar with all types of vessel suitability survey, including tugs, AHTs, supply vessels, material barges, accommodation work barges, DLBs, pipelay barges, DP vessels, MPSV, DSV, DPDSV, general cargo, MOPU and Tender Assists Drilling and is previously experienced as OVID inspector.

Shahrul Ezanee Bin Fathurrahman

Shahrul holds a bachelor’s degree in Maritime Transportation from the University of Technology Malaysia, a diploma in Marine Surveying from North West Kent College (UK) and is a marine officer after graduating from Malaysian Maritime Academy. He is also accredited by both SOMWS and IMCA.

Shahrul joined ABL in Kuala Lumpur in 2010 and has served as a Marine Surveyor across a variety of hydrocarbon projects and rig moves across the SEA region.

Muhamad Syazwan Zainal Abidin

Muhamad Syazwan graduated from the Malaysia Maritime Academy in Nautical Studies. Holds a Certificate of Competency Class 1 Master of 3000GT Unlimited Voyage. Following graduation, he joined LNG vessels as a deck officer with several years of sailing experience. Having transitioned into the Oil & Gas industry, he has joined various OSVs, including anchor handling vessels, drilling, towing, platform supply vessels, workboats and accommodation barges, from Deck Officer to DP Master.

Syazwan joined ABL Group in early 2022 as a Marine Surveyor. By utilising his experience at sea, he is involved with rig move operation, OVID inspection, DP trials & assurances, port risk assessment and various types of vessel suitability and condition surveys, including AHTS, PSV, DSV and DP vessels.

Athiswaran Aridas

A Singapore Polytechnique & Malaysia Maritime Academy graduate with a Class I Master of 3000GT or more Unlimited voyage. Following graduating with Class III in 2005, he sailed with AET Singapore on various sizes of crude oil carriers till 2007 before moving into the offshore industry in 2009.

Athis achieved 1st command in late 2014, where he was responsible for the delivery of a newly built ROV support vessel. Since then, he has been involved in various subsea operations as a master on a DSV and MPSV. Along the way, he sought new challenges and took up the challenge as a Marine Surveyor in 2020, primarily carrying out Pre-hire inspection, Suitability, Conditional, DP assurance and acting as Marine Captain.

Hamizan Mohammad

Graduated from Malaysia Maritime Academy (MMA) in Nautical Studies and holds a Certificate of Competency Class 1 Master of 3000GT Unlimited Trade Voyage. He began his career as a Deck officer on LNGC with Malaysia International Shipping Corporation (MISC) and later joined Offshore Support Vessel’s company, commanding as Master Mariner onboard.

After 20 years at sea, he joined ABL in early 2023 as a Marine Surveyor and has been involved with numerous types of surveys for OSVs and project cargo activities.

Ahmad Adil Azahar Kamarzaman

Holding a certificate of Class 1 Master Of 3000GT or More Unlimited Voyage, Ahmad immediately started his career at sea, where he sailed on board both cargo and dredger vessels before transitioning into the Marine Warranty industry.

Joined ABL in 2010, Ahmad has experience with both Marine and Oil & Gas offshore operations, including vessel inspection, Towage approval, load-out and stowage of Project Cargoes, transportation and associated heavy lift or float-over installation. He has been accredited as an OVID inspector since 2012.

He conducted suitability and operational condition surveys of various offshore and installation vessels, including OVID inspections, Pre-purchase, H&M and P&I surveys.

Mohd Dhiyaulhaq Bakhtiar

Dhiyaulhaq is a Class 1 Chief Engineer with vast experience in offshore support vessels for 15 years. He sailed on various OSVs ranging from AHTS, Hose Handling, Supply Vessel, Platform Supply Vessel, Diving Support Vessel, Workboat and Work barge utilizing DP1 and DP2 systems. He completed his Master’s in Business Administration, followed by a Certificate in Marine Warranty Survey by Lloyds Academy. He is currently involved with numerous MWS operations, DP trials, and OVID inspections, along with Marine insurance-related inspections, including H&M, P&I and JH surveys.
